Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel announced CHALK scheme, Rs 1,800 for cooks making mid-day meals, Rs 945 crore for medical, dental colleges.

NEW DELHI: 101 new Atmanand English medium schools, four new medical colleges, and Rs 19,489 crore allocation for school education have been announced in Chhattisgarh budget 2023. State Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel presented the budget today.
For school, the state government has announced Rs 1,800 for cooks preparing mid-day meals in schools and Rs 2,800 for school sanitation workers. For medical education, the Baghel government has allocated Rs 945 crore for medical, dental and physiotherapy colleges, Rs 697 cr for medical hospitals affiliated to medical colleges, Rs 40 cr for National Ayush Mission, Rs 168 cr for Ayurvedic hospitals, Rs 85 cr for integrated medical hospitals, Rs 7.5 crore for e-medical hospitals, Rs 235 cr for new medical colleges and buildings, and Rs 34 cr for state cancer institute.
