Chitkara University, WNS Global Services launch COE-BFS Academy to bridge skill gap

NEW DELHI: The Chitkara University’s Chitkara Business School has launched a WNS Centre of Excellence in Banking and Financial Services (COE-BFS) Academy on campus in partnership with the WNS Global Services.

The new academy aims to fill the gap between industry and academia by providing WNS-certified training to MBA finance and Fintech students in investment banking, anti-money laundering, commercial lending, and mortgage, as per the official statement.

“This collaboration underscores Chitkara Business School’s dedication to providing students with immersive learning experiences, positioning them for successful careers in the dynamic financial landscape. By fostering industry partnerships and integrating contemporary financial training, the university continues to shape professionals equipped to drive innovation and excellence in the global financial sector,” the university said.

The objective of the centre is to provide students with hands-on experience, industry-driven insights, and skill development aligned with the needs of the financial sector, the university added.

COE-BFS Academy for MBA, fintech students

Highlighting the importance of COE-BFS Academy, Madhu Chitkara, pro chancellor, Chitkara University, said that the newly-launched hub shows university’s commitment to grow talent in financial domains. “Such structured training aligns with the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which advocates for bridging the skill gap between academia and industry,” Chitkara added.

Students, through the academy, will gain access to advanced financial practices, real-time case studies, and mentorship from industry experts. During the launch, industry leaders from the WNS Global Services interacted with students, and shared their expertise on the latest trends in banking, financial services.
