IIT Mandi hosts talk show on human-AI partnership

IIT Mandi: The talk show ‘Ideas Matter Most’ held discussions around human-AI collaboration and its potential in today’s world.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi held ‘Ideas Matter Most’ talk show to explore the potential of human-AI partnership. The event was attended by students, professionals, faculty members, experts, and leaders who shared their views on the future of human-AI collaboration.

The talk show offered a platform for participants to engage with speakers, ask questions, and network with other innovators.

Lakshmidhar Behera, the director of IIT Mandi, an expert on AI, highlighted opportunities and challenges of human-AI collaboration. Being one of the researchers on AI in India, Behera also shared how AI evolved in the last 25-30 years. He adds: “AI has seen number of winters, and each time, a development in efficient computing has led to the emergence of AI.”

Pranav Kumar the founder of the ‘Ideas Matter Most’ talk show, shared his goal aiming to make this platform global, and said: “We see ‘Ideas Matter Most’ as a catalyst for meaningful conversations and connections between thinkers, innovators, and entrepreneurs across the world. Our goal is to create a global community that fosters collaboration, innovation, and impact.”

Gokul Butail the cabinet rank and principal advisor to the CM of Himachal Pradesh attended the event as the guest of honour. He shared his perspective on technology, AI, and highlighted the initiatives being taken by the HP government to use technology for the development of the state. He further emphasized the HP government's commitments to promote growth, innovation, and inclusion by using the power of technology and AI.

Other key speakers included – L Venkata Subramaniam, IBM Quantum India Leader, IBM; Suvrokamal Dutta acclaimed international conservative political economic and foreign policy expert; Kanishk Agrawal CTO, Judge Group India, investor and member Forbes Technology Council; Mohan Raghavan associate professor at IIT Hyderabad; Amit Kmar Pandey CTO, Robotics and AI, France; Shreystha Beppari senior psychologist at Apollo Clinics and others.
