CLAT 2024 to be conducted in December 2023

NEW DELHI : The Consortium of National Law Universities has announced that the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2024 exam will be conducted in December 2023. The consortium also clarified that the exam will be conducted only once a year. CLAT 2023 is scheduled to be held on December 18, 2022. The last date to register for CLAT 2023 is November 13, 2022. Interested and eligible candidates can apply on the official website – consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
“The CLAT 2024 will be held in December 2023 for admissions to the 5-year integrated BA, LLB (Hons) and LLM programmes that commence in the academic eyar 2024-2025 at the 22 participating NLUs,” read an official notification from CNLU.

“All admissions to the 5-year integrated B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M. programmes that commence in the Academic Year 2023-2024 at the 22 participating NLUs shall be through the CLAT 2023 to be held this December. The exam is conducted only ONCE for admission to each Academic Year. No additional, second, or any other CLAT examination shall be conducted for admissions in programmes commencing in the Academic Year 2023-2024,” the consortium clarified.
The consortium further informed that candidates who were unsuccessful in securing admissions to their preferred institution through CLAT 2022 which was held in June 2022, are eligible to reappear for CLAT 2023 after completing a fresh registration. Candidates appearing for Class 12 board exams in May 2023 are also eligible to apply for CLAT 2023.
How to register for CLAT 2023 exam
- Visit the official website of CLAT 2023 - consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
- Register as a new user using your mobile number and email ID.
- Fill the CLAT 2023 application form by entering details such as personal information, educational qualification and communication details.
- Submit the application form and complete the fee payment.
