CLAT application form 2021 ends today; Exam to be held in offline mode on July 23

NEW DELHI: The registration window for CLAT 2021 will be closed today. Candidates who want to appear in CLAT 2021 will have to register and submit their application form at consortiumofnlus.ac.in by midnight. After the closure of the application window, no candidate will be able to register for CLAT 2021, which is scheduled to be conducted on July 23 in pen and paper-based mode.

To register for CLAT 2021, candidates will have to create an account at the official admission portal of the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs).

In order to fill the application form, candidates have to follow the steps mentioned below.

• Go to the application portal (by clicking on the link given above)

• Get registered by entering details like mobile number, name and password

• After registering at the CLAT admission portal, open the application form

• Enter personal information and upload a recent passport size photograph and signature

• Enter your communication and education details

• Provide your reservation status, choose test centres and NLUs in the order of preference

• Save the application form and submit the registration fee using online payment facilities such as credit card, debit card or net banking.

• Take a printout of the application form for future reference

Important details regarding CLAT 2021

The Consortium has released a notification to inform candidates about the CLAT 2021 exam date, timings, mode, pattern and other aspects of the exam. The important details regarding CLAT 2021 are given below.

• CLAT 2021 for both UG and PG will be held on July 23, 2021 (2 pm to 4 pm).

• The test will be conducted in centre-based, pen-and-paper mode.

• Candidates will be given an opportunity to revisit their test centre preference after the closure of CLAT application form

• The essay or descriptive section has been dropped from PG-CLAT. Now, there will be 120 questions in the test paper.

• The UG-CLAT remains unchanged, it will have 150 objective-type questions

• Considering the COVID-19 pandemic, all safety measures will be followed during the conduct of CLAT 2021. The details regarding safety protocol will be announced soon.

• Candidates appearing in CLAT 2021 are also advised to vaccinate themselves.

The Consortium of National Law Universities(NLUs) conducts CLAT for admission to 5-year integrated LLB (UG-CLAT) and LLM programmes. There are 22 national law universities that are participating in CLAT 2021. The total intake of participating NLUs is 2688 for UG law programmes and around 808 for LLM programmes. The CLAT scores will also be used by more than 50 other law colleges.
