Download EBookIn a good news for postgraduate law aspirants, the Delhi High Court directed the consortium of NLUs to declare revised CLAT PG results 2025 soon. The top court was hearing a plea of students seeking revision of CLAT PG results over errors in the final answer key.
A bench of Chief Justice D K Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela accepted objections raised by the candidates on two out of three questions. Delhi HC , however, rejected the objection with respect to the answer key of the third question, and asked the consortium of national law universities (NLUs) to accordingly award marks to the candidates.
The CLAT PG judgement highlighted the issue of a high fee of Rs 1,000 per question charged by the consortium for raising the objection to the provisional answer key, observing there ought to be a "fine balance" between the concerns of the candidates and the institutions.
While comparing the fee charged for objected questions by other organisations, the fees sought by the consortium "appeared to be excessive and disproportionate" but the consortium's concern that it was required to keep frivolous individuals and coaching institutes at bay also did not appear to be "fanciful or imaginative", it added.
Errors in CLAT PG answer key
The petitioners had claimed that the CLAT PG answer key had errors and the exorbitant fee of Rs 1,000 to challenge one question made it difficult for them to submit their objections. Moreover, the Consortium gave just one day to raise objections against the provisional answer key, the counsel argued during the previous hearing. The CNLU had modified answers for eight questions in CLAT PG final answer key 2025.
The Supreme Court, while hearing the CLAT UG cases, transferred the CLAT PG petitions filed by Anam Khan and Ayush Agrawal to Delhi High Court. The petitioners had claimed that the CLAT 2025 provisional answer key had various errors and as many as 12 questions had wrong answers.
CLAT PG 2025 was held on December 1 last year for postgraduate admissions and the CLAT 2025 answer key was released on December 2.
