CNET 2025 registration begins on abvmuup.edu.in; exam on May 21

NEW DELHI: The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU) Uttar Pradesh has started accepting online applications for the Common Nursing Entrance Test (CNET) from today, March 24. As per the CNET information bulletin the CNET 2025 exam will be held on May 21.

Eligible candidates can apply for CNET 2025 through the official website, abvmuup.edu.in. The last date for application is April 26.

The CNET 2025 application form correction window will be active from April 19 to 26. The CNET 2025 admit card will be available from May 14.

To apply for CNET 2025 candidates from the unreserved, or other backward classes (UR, OBC) category will have to pay an application fee of Rs 3,000, while candidates from scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, and persons with disability (SC, ST, PwD) category will have to pay Rs 2,000 as registration fee.

As per the CNET information bulletin, candidates are allowed to carry only CNET admit card and valid ID proof to the exam centre. No arrangements will be made at exam centres to keep any belongings of candidates appearing for exam.

CNET 2025 exam pattern

The CNET 2025 exam will be held for 140 minutes from 11 am to 1:20 pm. Candidates will be given 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to answer. Each question comprises one mark and there’s no negative marking for incorrect answers. The CNET 2025 syllabus includes nursing aptitude (20%), physics (20%), chemistry (20%), biology (20%), English (20%) of intermediate standard (Class 12).

ABVMU conducts CNET for admission to BSc nursing course four years for academic session 2025-26 for all government and private nursing colleges affiliated to ABVMU; SGPGIMS, Lucknow; KGMU, Lucknow; RMLIMS, Lucknow; UPUMS, Saifai; and LLRM, Meerut.

CNET 2025 eligibility criteria

The CNET 2025 eligibility criteria for BSc nursing courses are as follows.

  • Candidate should have qualified Class 12 or its equivalent in physics, chemistry, and biology with English as mandatory subject from a recognised board with an atleast 45% marks for general category and 40% for the reserved category candidates.
  • Candidates should be a minimum of 17 years of age and a maximum of 35 years of age as of December 31, 2025 (5 years age relaxation for reserved category candidates).
  • The candidate should be medically fit. As per the CNET brochure, no candidate will be given admission until they are declared medically fit by the medical board appointed by the university.
