Coronavirus: UP promotes Classes 6-9 and 11 students without exams

NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh has promoted students of class 6-9 and class 11 to the next level in view of the coronavirus outbreak. The state government has declared the coronavirus induced disease as a pandemic under the Disaster Management Act, 2005.

Earlier on March 18, the state decided to promote all students of classes one to eight of all government primary schools in the state without having to appear for the annual examinations in view of the coronavirus outbreak.

Several states like Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Chhatisgarh have also taken similar decision to promote students of class 1-9. Careers360 earlier reported that KVS (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan) also announced that it would promote all Class 1 to 8 students without taking written examinations.
