COVID-19: APPSC Main Exam Postponed for Gazetted & Non-Gazetted Posts

NEW DELHI: Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has postponed the main exams for various categories of Gazetted and Non-Gazetted posts due to COVID-19 outbreak across the country. As per the official notification, the new exam dates will be announced shortly on the official website.
Previously, the main exam was scheduled to be conducted from May 10 to 13, 2020 and May 18 to 20, 2020 for Gazetted & Non-Gazetted posts, respectively. The prelims exam was conducted in June 2019. Candidates who have qualified the prelims exam are eligible to appear for the mains exam. The exam conducting authorities also postponed the APPSC Group 1 mains exam which was scheduled to be conducted from April 7 to 19, 2020.
In the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak, the Prime Minister announced lockdown 2.0 across the country. All educational institutes and colleges remain closed till May 3, 2020. However, the Government had allowed essential sectors to be reopened from April 20.
APPSC exam is conducted for the recruitment to the post of Gazetted & Non-Gazetted in State Government such as Officers, Deputy Inspector, Technical Assistant and others.
