NEW DELHI: Lucknow University will remain closed from tomorrow, January 10 to January 16 due to rising Omicron, COVID-19 cases in India.

Maharashtra schools and colleges will remain closed till February 15, except for Class 10 and Class 12. The Maharashtra Government released new Covid guidelines on Saturday in response to the increasing Covid cases in the state.
Meanwhile, about 15 students of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Udaipur tested Coronavirus positive on Friday among the 521 samples that were tested. Out of the 15 students who tested covid positive, 13 were asymptomatic and two had mild symptoms, reported the Times of India.
In a related development, IIM Calcutta covid cases increased with over 50 students testing covid positive, according to various media reports. The administration asked students who reside outside the containment zones to leave the campus by January 9.
