The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has clarified the confusion over the UPSC CSE 2025 rank 301 claim. The commission has revealed the details of the successful candidate, who secured rank 301 in the final result of UPSC CSE mains 2025.
Soon after the USPC CSE result 2025 was announced, two candidates of the same name, Akanksha Singh, claimed to have secured the same rank 301. One of them is from Bihar, Ara, and the other from Uttar Pradesh, Ghazipur.
According to the PTI reports, CSE candidates Akanksha Singh, daughter of Ranjit Singh and Neelam Singh from Uttar Pradesh has secured the rank 301 in UPSC CSE Mains 2025 exam.
UPSC declared the CSE mains 2025 result on March 6, and a total of 958 candidates have qualified for the exam based on the written exam, interview, and merit list.
As per the UPSC CSE toppers list 2025, Anuj Agnihotri topped the mains exam. Moreover, the candidature of 348 recommended candidates has been kept provisional.
The commission conducted the CSE prelims exam on May 25, and the main exam was held from August 22 to 31.
Qualified candidates are now eligible for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Central Services Group A and B appointments.
