CSIR NET December 2025 registration begins at csirnet.nta.nic.in; exam on December 18

CSIR UGC NET December 2025 registration deadline is October 24. The exam will be held in two shifts, with Shift 1 from 9 am to 12 noon and Shift 2 from 3 pm to 6 pm.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the registration window for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR-UGC NET) December 2025. Eligible candidates can register for the CSIR-UGC NET 2025 through the official website at csirnet.nta.nic.in.
The last date to apply for the CSIR NET December 2025 exam is October 24. Candidates will be able to make corrections in their application forms between October 27 and October 29, 2025.
As per the official announcement, the CSIR NET December 2025 exam will be conducted on December 18 in two shifts: Shift 1 from 9 am to 12 noon, and shift 2 from 3 pm to 6 pm. The CSIR NET December 2025 is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship (LS), assistant professor or admission to PhD programmes in Indian universities and colleges.
CSIR NET December 2025: Application fee
To register for the CSIR UGC NET December 2025, candidates from the general category will have to pay Rs 1,150, while General Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Other Backwards Classes (OBC) candidates are required to pay Rs 600.
Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories will have to pay Rs 325. The application fee can be paid through debit card, credit card, UPI, or net banking. The last date to make payment is October 25.
The CSIR UGC NET December 2025 exam will be conducted in English and Hindi. Test papers will cover five subjects: Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences.

CSIR UGC NET December 2025 Registration: Uploading of scanned images
Candidate’s Photograph: Candidates should upload a passport-size photo covering 80% of the face against a white background. File size should be 10–200 kb in JPG/JPEG format.
Candidate’s Signature: Candidates should upload their full signature in running handwriting in the designated box. The signature should be made on white paper using a blue or black ink pen and scanned. File size should be between 10 kb and 50 kb in JPG/JPEG format.
Other Documents: Applicable documents, such as the result awaited attestation form, category certificate, and PwD/PwBD certificate, should be uploaded in PDF format. File size for these documents should be between 50 kb and 300 kb.
