CTET 2021 exam dates announced; Test to be held in 20 languages on multiple days

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) exam dates. The CTET 2021 application form filling process will begin from September 20 onwards CTET official website ctet.nic.in. As per the notice released by CBSE, 15th edition of CTET will be conducted in Computer Based mode from December 16, 2021 to January 13, 2022. The CTET 2021 will be conducted in 20 languages across pan-India.

CBSE has also mentioned in the official notice that the detailed information bulletin/notification containing details related to the examination, syllabus, languages, eligibility criteria, examination fee, examination cities and other important dates will be released on September 20, 2021. The CTET online form 2021 will start from September 20. The last date to fill CTET application form 2021 will be October 19, 2021. Candidates will be able to pay the CTET 2021 fee till October 20, 2021 (Wednesday) till 3:30 PM.

What’s new in the CTET 2021 exam?
It is for the first time that the CTET exam will be held on multiple days. The exact date of the CTET entrance test will be mentioned on the CTET admit card. In the past the CTET exam was held in offline mode, however, it will be for the first time that the CTET exam will be conducted in online mode. The validity of the CTET qualifying certificate has been increased to lifetime.

Why is the CTET exam conducted?
CBSE conducts the CTET exam twice a year for determining the eligibility of the candidates for the post of teachers for Classes 1 to 8 in Central Government Schools such as Navodaya Vidyalaya School/Kendriya Vidyalaya and other CBSE-affiliated schools.
