NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education will release the Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) admit card in the first week of December on the official website, ctet.nic.in. The CTET 2021 exam is scheduled to be held from December 16 to January 13, 2022.
Candidates who are going to appear for the CTET 2021 exam can check the CBSE CTET mock test 2021 available on the official website to practice for the computer-based test. Earlier, the CBSE announced that 356 test practice centers have been set up for the CTET 2021 exam across India. To know the list of CTET practice centres - Click here.

What is the validity period of a CTET certificate?
Earlier as per guidelines framed by NCTE, the validity period was 7 years but now “The Validity period of TET qualifying certificate for appointment, unless otherwise notified by the appropriate Government, would remain valid for life.
How is the city allotted for the exam?
Generally, the board makes an effort to allot exam centers in the city as per candidate’s first choice of exam city. However, the Board reserves the right to allot any centre/city.
How many papers are there in one CTET?
There are two papers in each CTET Paper 1: For Class 1 to 5, Paper II: For Class 6 to 8. If a candidate intends to teach Classes from 1-8, he/she has to appear in both the papers.
What is the time duration of each test?
The duration of each test is 2:30 hours. However, the differently abled candidates may be given a compensatory time of 50 minutes in each paper of CTET exam.
How many attempts does a candidate get?
Till now there is no limit on the number of attempts for appearing in CTET.
Who will get the CTET eligibility certificate?
A person who scores 60% or more in the TET exam will be considered as TET Pass. School Managements (Governments ,local bodies, government aided and unaided) may consider giving concessions to persons belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently-abled persons, etc in accordance with their extant reservation policy. Should give weightage to the CTET scores in the recruitment process.
What is/are Weeding Out rules(s)?
The record of Central Teacher Eligibility Test is preserved upto two months from the date of declaration of result in accordance with the CBSE examination Weeding out rules. Thereafter, it will be disposed of as per Weeding Out rules.
