NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will close the registration window for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) July 2024 today, April 5. Interested candidates who have not yet registered for the exam can fill the CTET 2024 application form through the official website, ctet.nic.in.
The board will not accept any applications after the last date. Earlier, the CTET application window was suppose to close on April 2, 2024.
The board will conduct the CTET 2024 exam on July 7 at various exam centres across the country. Candidates clearing the CTET paper 1 and paper 2 will be eligible for teaching vacancies in Classes 1 to 5 and 6 to 8, respectively. CTET 2024 will be conducted in two shifts- from 9:30 am to 12 noon and the from 2 pm to 4:30 pm. Paper 2 will be conducted in morning shift and paper 1 in forenoon shift.

The CTET 2024 application fee for candidates belonging to general and OBC category is Rs 1,000 for one paper and for both papers Rs 1,200. For candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC, ST, PWD category is Rs 500 for one paper and Rs 600 for both papers. Candidates have to pay the CTET application fees online via debit card credit card or net banking.
The CTET 2024 for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Paper 1 will encompass five distinct sections: child development and pedagogy, mathematics, environmental studies, language 1, and language 2, each containing 30 questions. Similarly, Paper 2 will also comprise five sections, including child development and pedagogy, language 1, language 2, mathematics, and either science or social sciences, with 60 questions.
