CUET 2022 cancelled at many centres due to server issues, rain; NTA confirms second chance: Report

NEW DELHI: During the first day of the Common University Entrance Test undergraduate (CUET UG) phase 2 exam held by the National Testing Agency (NTA), many centres cancelled the CUET 2022 exam citing server issues. Many students could not complete the CUET UG 2022 exam papers due to technical issues. As per a report by the Indian Express, NTA, has confirmed that the students affected by the issues will be given another chance soon.
Many candidates said that the internet servers had gone down during the CUET UG exam. Many other candidates posted on social media, the NTA notice saying "The CUET exam scheduled at this centre today is postponed to August 12" outside of exam centres. "I and my father travelled 300 km to the exam centre. But after arrival officials said that my exam is cancelled due to technical problems. What kind of joke is this?" a Twitter user said in a tweet. CUET candidates claimed that they had not received any prior information about the postponement of the exam.
A senior NTA official reportedly said that around 2,000 have been affected by the cancellation of the CUET 2022 exam due to the alleged server issue. According to the official, the test can be taken again on August 12. CUET UG 2022 exam was cancelled at the Noida exam centre due to technical glitches. NTA also decided to postpone the CUET exam for the candidates appearing for the exam in the cities of Kerala on August 4, 5 and 6 due to heavy rains in the state. The revised dates for the exam has not been announced yet but are expected to be announced soon by the NTA.

Although NTA informed the postponement of CUET 2022 for Kerala CUET exam centres, candidates in Noida were informed about the cancellation after they reached the exam centre. NTA informed that the affected students due to the discrepancies will be given a second chance soon.
CUET phase 2 exams started today, August 4, and will carry on till August 20. CUET 2022 phase 2 exam is being held in around 554 cities in India and 13 cities abroad. CUET admit card 2022 for phase 2 was issued just two days before the exam, on August 2 on the NTA CUET 2022 website -- cuet.samarth.ac.in. The CUET UG 2022 first phase was held from July 15 to 20.
