Over 13 lakh students will appear for the CUET UG 2025 computer-based exam this year till June 3. NTA conducted May 15 exam in three shifts today for history and biology paper. The testing agency has issued admit cards for students appearing for May 19 to 24 exams, on the official website, cuet.nta.nic.in.

CUET UG 2025 May 15 shift 2 paper had 5 questions from the Harappan civilisation, 2 questions from the Buddhist test, and 2 and 3 Sanskrit texts.

As per memory-based questions from students, biology had questions about fruit fertilization. There were 5 match in the columns in the paper and 2 comprehension-based questions. The comprehension-based based was related to bio conservation, and the other was disease and medicine-type. 

As per the CUET marking scheme, negative marking of -1 mark will be applicable for every incorrect answer, and five marks will be given for every correct answer.

NTA conducted the Day 3 exam today at different test centres across the country. The testing agency cancelled the exam at Jammu and Kashmir exam centres for two consecutive days because of technical glitches. CUET UG 2025 day 3 shift 2 exam will begin at 12 pm today and end at 1 pm. The shift 3 exam will  commence at 3 pm today and entry for candidates will begin at 1 pm. Candidates are advised to reach exam centre before time to avoid any last minute hassle. 

Candidates appearing for the CUET UG 2025 are advised to reach exam centre at least 2 hours before the exam begins. NTA will not be responsible for any delay caused due to traffic jams, bus or train delays. However, students who reach the centre late are likely to miss instructions announced in the exam hall. Candidates should carry their admit card to the exam centre for verification purposes.

Delhi students reported technical and logistical chaos at a centre in Rohini on Tuesday while several candidates missed the exam at a centre in Noida after they reached late due to traffic snarls, the PTI said. "Lot of students missed CUET UG history paper today at iON DIgital Zone, Sector 62,Noida due to high handness of staff . Entry denied exactly at 2.30 PM.  not a single minute relaxation given . Give them a chance or their full year will be ruined," a student posted on X. 

The NTA will now conduct the CUET UG shift 2 exams from 12 noon to 1 pm. Students appearing in the second shift today are required to reach the exam centre before 11.30 pm to avoid last-minute difficulties. As per the rules, students who reach the centre late by a minute will also be not allowed entry.

CUET UG 2025 is conducted for 37 subjects covering 13 languages, 23 domain-specific subjects, and 1 general aptitude test. Ipshita from Haryana said, "The English paper had rearranged questions and comprehension questions. The GAT paper had moderate questions. I am aiming for DU colleges."

Manjali from Gurgaon said, "English and GAT paper were moderate in difficulty level, while english comprehension was easy, but GAT paper had tricky questions. Now I am aiming for the AIIMS nursing exam and will appear for the AFMC exam."

Paridhi from Gurgaon said questions from the maths paper were mostly direct. "The questions in the maths paper were mainly direct from integration and a few from matrices, while the GAT paper had questions from the 10th maths syllabus and current affairs ."

“My brother, Ujjal Hazarika (application no. 253511022525), had filled the CUET UG form with three preferred cities for the exam centre. But in the city intimation slip issued by NTA, none of those cities were allotted. Instead, he was assigned a centre in a completely different state,” an X user said, raising concerns over the allotment process and the challenges of last-minute travel. CUET 2025 exam is being held for one hour for all subjects from this year. Earlier, all subjects had different timings depending on the complexity of the exam subjects. CUET UG 2025 May 14 shift 3 exam will end at 4 pm today.

CUET UG 2025 has made several changes in the exam pattern this year in terms of exam mode, subject of number, duration, and others. CUET UG 2025 changes this year are as follows. 

• Unlike the previous year, CUET UG 2025 will be held in online mode rather than hybrid mode.

After the CUET 2025 May 14 shift 2 exam is over, students will have access to unofficial answer keys and question paper analysis updates, by which they will be able to calculate their probable scores.

According to NTA, over 282 universities accept CUET UG scores and accept admissions to undergraduate courses through the CUET entrance exam. Around 47 central, 41 state, 30 deemed, 154 private, and 10 other universities accept CUET exam scores.

CUET UG 2025 question paper has 50 questions. Students are required to attempt these questions in an hour. Each correct answer is awarded 5 marks and each wrong answer attracts one negative mark. Students will have to add all correct answers and wrong responses. Now subtract the total wrong responses from the total score obtained. The sum is the marks secured by the candidate.

Economics and GAT - Students found the paper easy and one on permutation-combination and two quant questions. 

Political science paper had questions on globalisation and the 1971 war with Pakistan. Overall, the paper was easy in difficulty level. 

English question paper was moderate in difficulty level.

General aptitude had a few questions on quant and was rated easy. 

Candidates appearing in cultural or customary dresses are advised to reach the exam centre well in advance for proper frisking. Female candidates are not allowed to wear the following to the exam centre: 

• Footwear with flat heels is allowed but not with thick soles. 
• Heavy dresses and jeans are not allowed.
• Long-sleeved kurti or shirts.

Male candidates appearing for the UG entrance exam should follow the CUET dress code rules. Not adhering to NTA rules and regulations 2025 during the exam may lead to disqualification.  

• Shoes are not permitted.
• Footwear with thick soles should be avoided. 
• Long sleeve t-shirts and shirts are not allowed. 
• Should not wear heavy clothes or heavy jeans.
• Cap and goggles should not be worn inside the exam hall.

Jashn, who appeared for her CUET UG exam, said: "Both Economics and GAT went very well. Questions were pretty easy. GAT had two quant questions and one on permutation-combination which were a biut tricky". He hopes to score 230 in GAT and 240 in Economics.

"The English exam was not tough, but average. It included passages, antonyms, and more. I haven't thought much about it yet, but I'm considering applying to Delhi University," said Sia, who attempted English exam.

Students can opt for programmes different from the class 12 syllabus. Though students are required to fulfill the criteria of CUET 2025 UG exam to be able to get admission in the desired programmes. According to the criteria for eligibility in CUET 2025,  students of General category must score at least 50% and students who belong to SC/ST category should at least score 45% in the Class 12 board examination. 

CUET 2025 UG examinations will be held between May 13 to June 3. The provisional answer key and the CUET answer key challenge window will be available in second week of June. The final answer key will be out in third week of June. 

"The paper went well. Political science had questions on globalisation and the 1971 war with Pakistan. I haven't yet decided on a university," said another student, who attempted the test for political science and physical education.

The duration of CUET exam is 45 minutes. The exam is conducted in three sections, each sections is for 50 marks.  First section is of Languages, it is divided into two categories first is IA, includes 13 languages and second is IB, includes 20 languages which are different from LA section. Then in second section is Domain, from 27 subjects specific maximum six domain subjects should be chosen. In last section, that is third section is General test. This general test is as per the respective university norm used for admission.

The CUET 2025 UG exam has just begun but last year, CUET 2024 UG exam, mathematics paper had easy and moderate level questions. Questions on Matrices and Probability were more. Derivatives and Linear were asked in both theoretical and applied mathematics. Integrals and Differential Equations were moderately covered, while topics like Statistics, Continuity and Differentiability, and 3D Geometry received reasonable number of questions. Fewer questions from Chapters such as Relations and Functions, Inverse Trigonometric Functions, and Time, Speed, and Distance. And from topics like Mensuration, Linear Inequalities, and Pipe and Cisterns few questions were covered.

Delhi University (DU) is one of the 48 universities, opted for CUET 2025 UG exam. National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) have few colleges of Delhi University in the list. Hindu college of Delhi University is ranked first in the list.

CUET 2025 examination has a wide scope, so finding the right book for preparing for the exam is very necessary. The best books to that could be preferred to prepare for the exam are NCERT books. The reason is that these books help to develop basics, and then students can further practice solving questions or get more advanced books for reference.

Both the CUET and NEET exams have similar eligibility criteria, that is, after completing Class 12 boards. Although the NEET exam is centralised, CUET is more of a university-based exam. Also, there is a difference in the syllabus of NEET and CUET examinations. The CUET exam only covers the Class 12 syllabus but includes other sections like general knowledge, english language, and reasoning, while NEET covers the entire Class 11 and 12 NCERT syllabus.

Students express their views about CUET UG exam at the exam centre. 

The CUET exam has a strict dress code where heavy clothes with long sleeves are not permitted. However, in case, a candidate comes to the exam centre in cultural/ customary dress, then must report to a centre at least two hours before so that there is enough for proper frisking, to avoid any inconvenience to the candidate. Slippers and sandals are allowed with low heels, but shoes are not permitted.

The admit cards for the CUET 2025 UG exam have been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The admit cards for May 13 to May 16 exams can be downloaded directly from the official website.

The CUET UG 2025 exam will be conducted in online mode as a Computer-Based Test (CBT), but it will be held at designated centers. The exam will take place at over 380 test centers across India and 26 international locations—remote or at-home testing is not allowed. To ensure accessibility and convenience for candidates the centers are spread across tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3 cities.

The CUET UG May 13 shift 2 entry began at 10 am. Students with valid CUET admit card and photo ID will be allowed to enter the exam hall after proper frisking and verification. The entry gates will be closed at 11.30 am.

The CUET UG 2025 was originally set to start on May 8. However, given the number of texts and the complexity of coordination, the NTA was not prepared on time. The exam was postponed to May 13. Then, it was postponed again but in 15 cities due to the India-Pakistan conflict which disrupted education in several states.

CUET UG exam 2025 is held for 37 subjects - 13 languages, 23 subject-domain paper and one general aptitude test.

The CUET UG question paper 2025 will have 50 questions. Each correct answer will be awarded five marks and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. The total marks for CUET UG 2025 is 250. 

The NTA will conduct the CUET UG shift 2 exams from 12 noon to 1 pm. The entry gates for middle shift will commence at 10 am. Students allotted second shift will have carry the hall ticket, valid photo ID, self-declaration form, and two photographs. 

Day 1 and shift 1 of the Common University Entrance Test - Undergraduate (CUET UG 2025) begins at 9 am. 

No. Calculators are not allowed inside CUET UG exam centre. Students will have to do all calculations and writing work in the rough sheet provided at the test centre. Upon completion of the test, candidates are required to hand over the rough sheets to the invigilator on duty in the room hall.

CUET self-declaration form 2025 can be downloaded along with the admit card. It is mandatory document to be submitted at the time of document verification. Students are required to fill the undertaking form with details of their recent travel and mention if they have any symptoms of COVID-19 or any other disease. They will also have to paste passport size photograph and put thumb-impression in the space provided.

• Personal transparent water bottle.
• CUET admit card downloaded from NTA official website, cuet.nta.nic.in.
• CUET self-declaration form.
• Two passport-size photograph for pasting on the attendance sheet
• Original valid ID proof.
• Sugar tablets, fruits like banana, apple, orange, in case the candidate is diabetic.
• PwD certificate, if a candidate is claiming relaxation under the category.

CUET UG shift 1 entry begins. 

The total number of subjects offered through CUET UG 2025 is 37. This includes 13 languages, 23 domain-specific subjects, and one General Aptitude Test.

The NTA has advised candidates to reach the exam centre at least 2 hours before the allotted shift for smooth conduct of  frisking and document verification.
