NEW DELHI: The UGC Chairman, Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar has posted an update regarding the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG 2024) 2024 May 29 admit card for the Silchar and Delhi centres. The CUET UG 2024 May 15 exam for Delhi centre, and May 24 exam for Silchar candidates have been postponed to May 29.
The UGC chairman posted on X: "For the test papers to be conducted on 29 May 2024 in Pen and Paper (OMR) mode, NTA will issue fresh admit cards for the concerned candidates either tonight or tomorrow."
CUET UG 2024 exam postponed for Silchar candidates
The National Test Agency (NTA) has recently postponed the CUET UG 2024 exam for Environmental Studies (307) and Bengali (104), originally planned for May 24 for candidates in Silchar, Assam. According to the revised schedule, the CUET UG exam for candidates assigned to the Silchar center will now take place on May 29. The CUET admit card 2024 for these candidates will be available for download on the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/.
Candidates who were unable to travel to other cities, will now not be required to go outside of Silchar, Assam, for CUET UG 2024 exams. Candidates who had selected CUET UG 2024 Silchar exam centre but have received an CUET UG 2024 admit card for another city are eligible for this facility. According to NTA, candidates who opted for CUET UG May 24 Bengali (104) and Environmental Studies (307) exams, were allotted different city for logistic issues.
CUET UG 2024 May 29: Exam in pen and paper format
The CUET UG 2024 May 29 exam will now be conducted in a pen-and-paper mode. The CUET UG 2024 May 24 exam postponement decision was made in response to a letter from Assam's education minister, Ranoj Pegu, to NTA over the request of providing the CUET exam centers in Barak Valley.
