NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon start the registration process for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2024 on the official website, cuet.samarth.ac.in. NTA will hold the CUET 2024 exam from May 15 to 31 in hybrid mode for admission into central and state universities.

The CUET UG registration 2024 process is expected to begin tomorrow, as per an Indian Express report. However, the testing agency has not announced any official CUET UG 2024 registration date yet. Around 250 universities across the country will offer admission to various first-year degree courses through CUET UG 2024 score.

University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman M Jagadesh Kumar told the PTI that the commission is working to conduct the CUET UG 2024 with a large registration in the OMR mode. “This will help us choose a large number of schools as test centres. This will ensure that the students will get a centre within their town or city and do not have to travel to faraway places," he added.

The PTI report added that the exam is likely to be conducted in a shorter duration as the agency is contemplating a hybrid mode, including OMR sheets and a computer-based test. The move will also ensure that most of the students get a chance to take the exam in a city of their choice.

CUET 2024 exam pattern

The CUET UG exam 2024 will have 50 questions in four sections – section 1A (language test), section 1B (optional language test), section 2 (domain-specific test) and section 3 (general test).
