Data analytics: IIT Kharagpur launches online certificate course

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur is starting an online certification program on data analytics to help managers take data-driven decisions.
The online program “Data Analysis with R Programming Batch IV” will be run by Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSomM) from May 1.
“The objective of the course is to create data analysts and introductory data scientists with a focus on managerial applications of analytics,” VGSoM’s website said.
The curriculum is spread over 10 days and covers 10 sessions of three hours each.
Teachers, scientific officers, instructors, technical assistants, persons from industries or B.Tech students who have passed their first year exams are eligible to participate in this programme.
The fee ranges from Rs 10,000 to-15,000 for the programme. The number of participants has been limited to 50, who will be selected on first-come-first-serve basis.
