NEW DELHI: The availability of the phase I mock test for the Open Book Exam (OBE) by the Delhi University has again brought panic for the final semester/year students with many failing to log in or facing technical glitches at various stages. Several students, trying to take the mock test, have taken on Twitter to share their agony for not being able to take the mock test.

Students are facing a wide range of issues including failing to log in, unable to download or upload their papers, issues with time panel, etc. Surprisingly, some screens are reflecting messages which say – there’s no mock test scheduled for this date (July 27). Some are even complaining about the portal being unresponsive.

Tweets by DU students to share what they are facing:

Faizan, a DU student shared his concern over Twitter saying, “Just think about the panic and chaos it will create. Time would be wasted in registering."

Sagarika Sharma vented out her frustration saying, "If this is the situation while appearing for the mock test, what will happen during the OBE." She has even requested the government to cancel the final year exams and promote students based on assignments and previous years academic records.

Another DU student Abhishek complained that despite various efforts his friends are facing challenges with the website.

Troubled by the wastage of her time, Ankita (DU student) too took her anger to Twitter wherein she said, "Dear UGC, stop wasting our precious time. We don't have any problem with OBE until and unless the portal is ready to take exams."

After getting a #8 error on his screen Ayush Arora wrote on his Twitter handle, “Not able to download the mock question paper and same with my friends. They will conduct OBE and we will suffer.”

Charu Garg made a mockery of the Delhi University by mentioning that everything went smooth and check the proof wherein she has shared a screenshot of a page reflecting error.

It must be noted that earlier too, on July 4, while the mock test for OBE was released (as per the old schedule), the students had to face similar issues while trying to take the mock test.
