NEW DELHI, MARCH 15: The CBSE class 12 Accountancy Paper has been allegedly leaked on the messaging service WhatsApp just before the exam was to be conducted on Thursday, March 15. As the paper leak reports surfaced on social media and through complaints from students, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia asked the Directorate of Education to investigate into the complaints.

The CBSE, however, has denied the leak reports. According to the exam conducting body, all the seals at different exam centres have been found intact and there is no reason to worry.

As per the media reports, the portion of accountancy paper being circulated on the social messaging app matched with that of set II of the actual paper.

As per reports, the image of the paper has been allegedly doing rounds on WhatsApp and other social media platforms since March 14. The paper was allegedly leaked in Rohini first and was later circulated to other parts of Delhi. Sisodia has called for action on the issue on Twitter, saying, “Have asked officers of Directorate of Education to investigate and lodge a complaint with CBSE. Action must be taken so that the students do not suffer due to the negligence of CBSE.”

After the complaint of paper leak, CBSE held a high-level meeting to ascertain the facts regarding the matter. The exam was scheduled between 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.

The CBSE Class 12 exam is being conducted from March 5 to April 13, 2018. Around 11 lakh students are appearing for the exam this year. CBSE Class 12 result is expected to be declared in the third week of May, 2018. Last year, the overall pass percentage was 92.02%.
