Delhi Govt schools directed to upload Class 9 and 11 marks by May 9

NEW DELHI:In an effort to publish the results of Classes 9 and 11 immediately after the lockdown, the Directorate of Education in Delhi has instructed schools to upload all internal and annual assessments online by May 9.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in an interaction with students and parents on April 4 had said that the results for Classes 9 and 11 would be declared within three days after lockdown. Since then, the nationwide lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which is currently till May 17, was extended twice.

In a circular issued on Monday, the Directorate of Education (DoE) said: “All the heads of government schools are hereby informed that online link for uploading the marks of annual examination, internal assessment and grades of co-scholastic areas in operation”.

The directorate said that the link for the online entry of marks will be available from May 5 to May 9.

The DoE said that it has “reviewed its promotion policy for Classes 9 and 11 as a one-time measure for the academic year 2019-20” and that the results “will be calculated and declared online accordingly”.
