NEW DELHI: Delhi University has invited applications for the second edition of the ‘Vice Chancellor Internship Scheme’ on Thursday.
The summer internship programme allows undergraduate and postgraduate students of the university to avail of paid internships at the university’s departments and centres. Students of any regular course and stream, except first year students, can apply for the internship on the university website. Last date to apply is May 17, 2023.
The DU VC internship scheme will run for a duration of two months–June and July, tentatively. The time, however, is flexible with 15 to 20 hours to be dedicated per week.
To shortlist students the university will conduct interviews and the students selected will receive a stipend of Rs 10,000 per month. An experience certificate from the office of dean of student’s welfare will also be awarded at the end of the internship.

Students who have already benefited from the internship scheme will not be eligible to apply this year. The scheme will be applicable for all institutes, departments and centres of the university including the VC’s office, the various libraries, the admission branch, and the Equal Opportunity Cell.
Last year, the university received more than 3,800 applications from undergraduate and postgraduate students for 110 vacancies in its paid internship scheme.
