Delhi University to organize webinar on reservation policies in UG admission on April 29

NEW DELHI: The University of Delhi will be organizing a webinar on reservation policies in undergraduate admissions based on Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 on April 29. The webinar titled “Reservation Policies and Related Aspects” will help candidates from reserved categories such as Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes - Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) learn about reservation policies, registration process, documents required. The speakers of webinar include VC Yogesh Singh, registrar Vikas Gupta, dean of admission professor Haneet Gandhi, and joint dean professor Sanjeev Singh.

Candidates can register for the webinar through the website or the tiny url provided on the Twitter account of DU.

The webinar will also be streamed live at the official YouTube Channel of the University. The university has set up an admission branch which will organize webinars to make students aware about the new admission policy of the central universities.

The Admission Branch of the University has also published illustrative Examples on its website, admission.uod.ac.in. The information presented in the form of infographics will help the candidate understand the eligibility criteria of undergraduate programmes, select the required subjects in CUET, and guides them on the processes through which their merit can be considered while admissions.

Candidates are advised to refer to the “Helpful Resources” tab on the admission portal admission.uod.ac.in on a regular basis for tutorial videos, recordings of previous webinars, llustrative Examples, and other resources.

The video tutorials will explain the registration process for CUET 2022. These step-by-step videos guide briefs candidates on creating a registration id, selecting various programs of a University, procedures for choosing the subjects from Section I, II, and III of CUET 2022, uploading the required documents, and making the payment. The tutorials are available in both English and Hindi languages.

“The Delhi University has also taken a lead in informing candidates about CUET 2022. ChatBot services have been activated for quick resolution of queries. The candidates can utilize this service between 9.30 am to 5.30 pm on all working days, except Public Holidays. Candidates can also write at ug@admission.du.ac.in for any assistance or queries related to Under-Graduate admissions to the University,” it said.
