Delhi University bags Clarivate India Research Excellence Citation award 2021

NEW DELHI: The University of Delhi has bagged Clarivate India Research Excellence Citations Awards 2021 in the central university category. Yogesh Singh, vice chancellor of the university received the award at a virtual award ceremony held on October 28.

Singh highlighted that the research has traditionally been a significant focus area and strength of the University. “The University's unwavering commitment to excellence in research is evident from the high number of publications by the faculty members each year with a number of these in high-ranking peer-reviewed international journals, including Nature and Science,” said Singh while accepting the award.

In the category of medical and health sciences category, Public Health Foundation of India was announced as the winner of Clarivate India Research Excellence- Citation Awards.

The Clarivate India Research Excellence Citations Awards 2021 are in their 8th edition and are awarded once every two years to the individuals and institutions. The awards recognize the research excellence and confer the award for outstanding and pioneering research contributions in the designated categories. The awardees are recognized for having had noteworthy influence in their respective fields of research.

Lauding the efforts of researchers in the university, he added that he is delighted to receive this prestigious award, and credited the award to the effort and commitment of the faculty members and research scholars of the university.
