Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute introduces two online degree courses

NEW DELHI: Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute, Chennai has launched two online degree programmes to further the objectives laid in National Educational Policy (NEP) 2020. Two of the newly launched digital programmes by the deemed to be university are Masters of Business Administration (various electives) and Master of Commerce (General).

“We are focused on making online education more accessible. Such online courses will provide today’s learners the freedom and flexibility to learn on their own schedule. We are extremely excited about the new era of e-learning and are confident that such online courses will allow aspirants to learn while they work and gain experience in their respective careers.” said ACS Arun Kumar, president of Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute.

The online courses of Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute are tailored keeping in mind the 21’st century learning needs of the students as well as that of the working professionals. As per the official statement in a press release, the university aims at offering various online degree programmes in multiple domains in the coming times through its official portal- drmgronline.in.

“With the pace of how the coronavirus is evolving and the surge in new Covid-19 positive cases, physical education is becoming a matter of yesterday. With these online courses we are aiming to ensure that students don’t lose any academic year and also get the same quality of education via online mode through seamless platforms.” Kumar added.

The university officials further said that the learning modules would include a gamut of interactive online sessions, discussion forum, mock tests and well packaged recorded tutorials by in-house permanent faculties and guest faculties. Learners of the online courses of Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute can acquire degrees through clearing the remotely proctored exams from the convenience of one’s native place.
