NEW DELHI: The Delhi Technological University (DTU) has announced that it will conduct the final semester examination of all programmes online. The university will announce the dates later.

The university will conduct examinations through three modes – combined examination of subjective questions and multiple choice questions; multiple choice questions-based examination and case-study based examination.

As per a statement issued by DTU, “The duration of the examination in all the three modes will be of two hours and will be conducted through AI-proctored platform along with manual proctoring”. The viva-voce for the third mode – case study-based exam – shall be conducted separately in addition to the two hours.

The university will arrange for offline examination along with supplementary examination for students who will not be able to appear for the online examination or will not be able to perform well in the online mode. The university will conduct the offline exam after opening of university once the lockdown is lifted.

Recently, another technical university in the national capital, Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) has also begun its mid-term examination in the online mode. Another institution, the Mahatma Gandhi Central University (MGCU) in Motihari, Bihar, has conducted its mid term examination through WhatsApp.
