Delhi University's financial support scheme 2026 applications open for 100% fee waiver; check eligibility

The University of Delhi (UoD), through the office of the dean, Students' Welfare (DSW), announces the DU financial support scheme 2026-27 to provide financial assistance to students during their studies. Candidates can apply for the financial scheme on the official website at dsw.du.ac.in or du.ac.in.

The last date for the DU financial support scheme 2026-27 is October 13.

A full-time bona fide student studying in any undergraduate or postgraduate course in a department, institute, or centre of DU, belonging to any of the family income categories, is eligible to apply.

DU FSS 2026: Required documents for application

The list of required documents for the DU FSS 2026 application form is given below.

• Income/category certificate: Copy of EWS/OBC-NCL certificate or annual family income certificate for 2025-26, issued by a competent authority.
• Not accepted: Notary-attested certificates or certificates issued in the student's name.
• ITR and PAN Copies: Self-attested copies of latest Income Tax Returns (2025-26), if filed, for father, mother, unmarried sister(s), unmarried brother(s) below 25 years. Also include self-attested PAN card copies of all the above family members.
• Undertaking Form: Self-attested copy, as per format available at dsw.du.ac.in
• Bonafide Certificate: Signed by HOD or director of institute, as per prescribed format on dsw.du.ac.in
• Marksheet: Self-attested copy of the most recent exam marksheet.
• Fee Receipt: Self-attested copy of the latest fee receipt.
• Bank Details: Self-attested copy of bank passbook (showing student's name, account number, IFSC code) or a cancelled cheque.

DU Financial Assistance Scheme 2026

Under the DU aid scheme, financial assistance has been divided into two income categories. Students with a family annual income of up to Rs 4 lakh are eligible for a waiver of up to 100%, while those with a family income between Rs 4 lakh and Rs 8 lakh can get a waiver of up to 50%.

Students enrolled in engineering programmes (excluding CIC), five-year integrated law course, SOL and NCWEB are not eligible. Students with essential repeat (ER) in any previous examinations are not eligible to apply.

The dates for offline submission of the hard or printed copy of the filled online application form along with all required documents at DSW, will be announced on the DSW website. Students are advised to keep an eye on the official website for the latest updates.
