NEW DELHI: 35,388 candidates have opted for upgrade to higher college and course preference and 15,398 candidates requested to freeze seats for Delhi University (DU) UG admission 2022 on the official website – admission.uod.ac.in. DU closed the facility to 'upgrade' for DU admission 2022 today, October 27, 4:59 pm.

On October 26, the university displayed the list of vacant seats left after the first round of DU Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) 2022.

DU allowed only those applicants to upgrade options who have secured admission during the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) round 1. The university had informed that if a new preference is allocated, the current seat will be cancelled. Candidates who get upgraded will have to accept the upgraded seat and complete the admission procedures on the upgraded allocated seat.

72,865 candidates, out of 80,164, accepted the college and course allotted to them and approximately 59,100 students secured admission by paying fee in the university’s first round of CSAS seat allocations.

DU will release the second merit list of DU UG admission through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) on October 30. Candidates can accept the allocated seat from October 31 to November 1. Applicants can verify and approve their documents online till November 2. Last date to pay the fee against DU second merit list is November 3.

DU rejected reserved category candidates in seat allocation for CSAS round-1 who did not submit their category certificates according to the university's prescribed format. These candidates will be considered for the unreserved seats in CSAS round 2.
