Durga Ashtami: Haryana government school timings changed for today

The Haryana government informed that the timing of the schools will be from 10 AM to 2:30 PM on the occasion of Durga Ashtami.

NEW DELHI: The Haryana government has changed the timings for government schools in the state on the occasion of Durga Ashtami. The Haryana school will begin from 10 AM and will close at 2.30 PM.

Durga Ashtami is the eighth day of the Navratri festival celebrated by Hindus for worshipping Goddess Durga.

The Haryana Directorate of School Education issued a letter yesterday that read: “It is hereby informed that on March 29 the school timings will be changed. The timing of the schools will be from 10 AM to 2:30 PM. Kindly inform the schools about the change in timings.”

The change in timings will be applicable for one day. A month ago, the state government revised school timings for all government schools, government-aided schools and other schools functional in the single shift and the double shift.

As per the revised timings, the single shift schools in Haryana are functioning from 8 AM and 2:30 PM, while the double shift schools are open from 7 AM to 12:30 PM in the first shift and the second shift begins from 12:45 PM to 6:15 PM.

Meanwhile, the Haryana Board of School Education (BSEH) will be conducting re-exam for cancelled board exams 2023 for Class 10, 12 students today. The exam timing for the Haryana Class 10, 12 re-examination is 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
