NEW DELHI: The Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections 2023 has begun. The university is conducting the DUSU polls 2023 after four years. As per the DUSU election 2023 timings of voting, day classes will cast vote between 8.30 AM to 1 PM and evening classes between 3 PM to 7.30 PM.

The DU students' union election 2023 is beging held on electronic voting machines (EVMs). “Vote Responsibly! Don't let your voting choices be influenced by bribery, illicit material, trips to amusement parks,” the university proctor’s office said.

Counting of votes for DUSU Elections 2023-24 will be held on tomorrow, September 23 from 8 AM in the conference centre, opposite Botany Department, North Campus, University of Delhi.

Student organisations - SFI, NSUI, ABVP, AISU - have filed their nominations list for the four-member student's body. Along with this, some of the student groups have also released manifestos.

The DUSU election was last held in 2019. It was not conducted in the last four year due to COVID-19 and academic disruption.

DUSU Election Office informed all contesting candidates to submit the duly verified proforma available on DU website, du.ac.in, on or before September 22 by 4 PM to obtain gate pass to enter the counting hall. “The candidates are also informed that send your self-attested passport size photo via e-mail to dusuelections2023@gmail.com,” it said.

Canvassing for the DUSU polls 2023-24 was discontinued at 8 AM yesterday. “After scrutiny and withdrawal of the nomination papers, the candidates listed below have been provisionally found to be eligible for contesting for the post of President of Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) 2023-24,” the university said while notifying the contesting candidates.
