The Environment Society of India will hold the workshop on the theme ‘Understanding ecosystem for health and well-being'.

NEW DELHI: The Environment Society of India will organise a state-level orientation workshop at the Rajeev Gandhi seminar hall, Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh on October 5. The workshop is being organised under the National Children Science Congress 2023 for resource teachers in association with the PU and Chandigarh Region Innovation and Knowledge Cluster (CRIKC).
The workshop will be based on the theme 'Understanding ecosystem for health and well-being' and its sub themes for National Children Science Congress 2023. The National Children Science Congress will be sponsored and catalysed by the National Council for Science and Technology Communication, department of science and technology of the union government.
Around 200 teachers and resource persons from various government and private schools and self-employed tutors will attend the orientation workshop. The workshop will be inaugurated by Harsuhinder Pal Singh Brar, director school education of Chandigarh. RC Mishra, MD Haryana Police Housing Corporation, Panchkula and president of the Environment Society of India, Chandigarh, will preside over the orientation programme.

Jaspreet Kaur, professor at the department of Botany, PU; KS Bath, principal scientist, Punjab State council for Science and Technology, Chandigarh; Gaurav Sapra, professor at Panjab University; Paramjeet Singh, lecturer at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 8, and state academic coordinator of the Environment Society of India, Chandigarh, and NK Jhingan, secretary of the society will be the resource persons for the teachers orientation programme. The programme will start at 9 AM.
