BPSC flagged that “some anti-social elements” had created a group on Telegram to spread misleading information by attaching fake and edited OMR sheets of BPSC 71st CCE.

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has warned candidates of a fake Telegram group named ‘BPSC Patna’, where edited and fake OMR sheets of the Integrated 71st Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination (BPSC CCE) are being circulated.
In an official post on X, the commission said that it found “some anti-social elements” had created a group on Telegram to spread misleading information by attaching fake and edited OMR sheets of BPSC 71st CCE.
“Candidates should remain cautious of fraudulent profiles and false claims that spread scams and confusion. Information related to BPSC examinations should only be obtained from the Commission's official website and social media handles,” the advisory read.
The BPSC has officially published the answer sheets of the Main objective exam for appointment of Lower Division Clerk posts on October 31. The OMR sheets were available for download till November 8. Along with the answer sheets, the BPSC final answer key was also uploaded, in which, five questions were dropped.
It also allowed aspirants to lodge a complaint in case of error in the downloaded OMR sheet before the deadline set for downloading the answer sheets.
The circulation of fake OMR sheets was not the only issue. Earlier, the commission noted that the biometric attendance process was not completed smoothly at some exam centres. However, it had clarified that candidates’ physical attendance on the admit card has already been recorded and that the biometric feature was merely an additional measure for convenience. It stated that the absence “will not adversely affect their attendance or the exam process”.
It has advised candidates to only check the official website for latest updates on recruitment exams. For reference, the BPSC official website is bpsc.bihar.gov.in, and the official X account is @BPSCOffice.
