Former Ambedkar University VC appointed executive vice president of BML Munjal University

Dr BR Ambedkar University Delhi’s (AUD) former vice-chancellor Shyam Menon to lead faculty development and university strategy in BML Munjal University.
NEW DELHI: Professor Shyam Menon, former vice-chancellor of Dr BR Ambedkar University Delhi has been appointed as the executive vice president of BML Munjal University (BMU). As per a statement from the BML Munjal University, Menon will work with faculty in preparing the overall strategy for the University.
Menon taught at the Delhi University as a professor and also was the dean, faculty of education. He is now the chairman of the Kerala state government’s Commission for Reforms in Higher Education. Menon has more than 40 years of teaching experience. He is also an experienced educational administrator and a university leader, said the statement.
“We at BMU are committed to providing transformative education by creating a unique innovation led, teaching, learning and research environment. Prof. Menon will play a crucial role in ensuring that our vision is in line with our nation’s aspirations for a more evolved education system which is able to cater to the needs of the 21st century. Being the Chairman of the Commission for Reforms in Higher Education in Kerala, Prof. Menon’s proficiency will be critical for our journey. I wish him all the best for a successful innings,” said Akshay Munjal, President, BML Munjal University.
