Four IIM Bangalore graduates to get Distinguished Alumni Awards 2025

IIMB alumni Sandhya Shekhar, Prashant Jain, Mathew Cyriac, and Vineet Saraiwala will be felicitated during PGP re-orientation on June 15.

Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) has announced the list of recipients for its Distinguished Alumni Awards (DAA) 2025, which will be held on June 15, during the reorientation for the Postgraduate Programme in Management (PGP).

The IIMB DAA was initiated in 2007 and each year lauds the accomplishments that IIMB alumni have gone on to achieve. These awardees each receive a citation and their names engraved on the Wall of Fame at the IIM Bangalore campus.

This year’s recipients include Sandhya Shekhar (batch of PGP 1984), Prashant Jain (batch of PGP 1991), Mathew Cyriac (batch of PGP 1994) and Vineet Saraiwala (batch of PGP 2015).

Distinguished Alumni Awards 2025

Shekhar is an advisor and strategy consultant to several corporations in the areas of business strategy and digital transformation. She is also an independent director on the governing boards of Uno Minda Ltd., MI Torica, Mynda Onkyo, MITIL Polymer Pvt Ltd. and UCAL Ltd.

Jain is the founder and chief investment officer at 3P Investment Managers, and has previously served as chief investment officer at HDFC Mutual Fund. He is the only fund manager in India and one of the few globally to have continuously managed a scheme for over 28 years. Jain is also the first fund manager in India to have managed one lakh-crore of equity funds.

Cyriac is the executive chairman of Florintree Advisors and co-founder at Yali Capital. He earlier served as a founding member and PE co-head of Blackstone India.

Saraiwala is the founder and CEO of Atypical Advantage, and has significantly influenced corporate India’s approach towards disability inclusion as a business imperative. His company has received both the National Startup Award for Social Impact and the National Award for Best Placement Organisation presented by the President of India.

The reorientation programme will include workshops for second-year PGP and Post Graduate Programme in Business Analytics (PGPBA) students. PGP 1994 alumnus, Ganeshan Ramachandran, MD & lead - industry groups, Accenture will be present as the chief guest, along with Raghu Polisetty, senior managing director, global lead - strategy and consulting global network, Accenture.
