GATE 2019 exam analysis: IIT Madras conducts EC and EE papers; difficulty level moderate to tough

NEW DELHI, FEBRUARY 9: IIT Madras has concluded the GATE 2019 examination for Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC) and Electrical Engineering (EE) papers. Both the papers were conducted separately in forenoon (9:30 AM to 12:30 PM) and afternoon session (2:30 PM to 5:30 PM). With the conclusion of Day 3 of GATE 2019, the authorities are left with only two more sessions to conduct.

According to various reports, the EC paper was of moderate difficulty. Maximum marks were from EDC and Communication topics. There were also a number of questions from Signals and System topic while Networks was only of 5 marks weightage. General aptitude questions were easy and 24 to 27 NAT questions tested the preparation of the candidates. Mathematics section had around 6 questions (with weightage of 9 marks) while 49 questions were asked from the ECE branch.

The final two papers of GATE 2019 for Civil Engineering will be conducted tomorrow by the authorities. Both Paper I and II will be held in the same day at the different sessions.
