The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) hall tickets 2026 for exams scheduled on January 28 and 29. Candidates appearing for the JEE Main 2026 session 1 can check memory-based questions after the exam to assess their performance and evaluate their expected scores.

Candidates can download the JEE Main 2026 hall ticket on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, using their login credentials.

As per subject-experts, the JEE main 2026 Jan 24 exam for shift 2 was moderate in difficulty level. Earlier, students who appeared for Shift 1 described the paper as easy to moderate, noting that the Mathematics section was comparatively tougher.

Coaching institutes are expected to release the unofficial JEE Main 2026 January 24 shift 1 answer key and JEE Main 2026 January 24 shift 2 answer key later in the day.

The NTA has advised candidates appearing for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 in Nanded, Maharashtra, to plan their travel in advance on January 24 due to possible traffic disruptions caused by the “Hind Di Chadar” Samagam. Candidates are required to carry their JEE Main 2026 admit card and a valid government-issued photo ID, which may be checked during security or traffic inspections.

The JEE Main 2026 session 1 exams will continue till January 29. The NTA has not yet announced the release date of the JEE Main 2026 admit card for the January 28 and 29 exams. Candidates will be able to download the JEE Main 2026 admit card for the remaining day through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, once out.

The official JEE Main cut-off 2026 will be announced along with the JEE Main 2026 result. The JEE Main 2026 result date has not yet been confirmed by the NTA and will be notified on the official website after the conclusion of session 1 exams.

The Mathematics section in the JEE Mains 2026 day 4 shift 1 was moderate in difficulty level. Although the section had lengthy questions, several questions needed careful calculation, which made proper time management very important.

Is JEE Mains hall ticket 2026 out for January 28, 29 exams?

No, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has not yet issued the JEE Main 2026 exam hall tickets for January 28 and 29 exams. However, the testing agency is expected to publish the admit cards for download soon on its official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The overall difficulty level of the JEE Main 2026 Jan 23 shift 2 was moderate. Physics section was most challenging, followed by Chemistry and Mathematics. 

  • In physics, 2-3 questions were more challenging, which we generally solve in JEE Advanced.
  • The paper was a bit difficult wrt January 2025 shifts.
  • Around 2-3 questions in the Chemistry and Physics section were statement-based.
  • Portions of the Class 11 syllabus were more than those of Class 12.

JEE Main 2026 Jan 24 LIVE: Exam dates for session 1, 2

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the JEE Main 2026 session 1 exams on January 21, 22, 23, and the remaining exams will be held on January 24, 28 and 29 in dual shifts. 

While the testing agency will also conduct the JEE Main 2026 exam for session 2 from April 2 to 9 in two shifts. The morning shift will be held from 9 am to 12 noon, while the afternoon shift will be conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm.

JEE Main 2026 Jan 24 Paper LIVE: Entry begins for shift 1; exam day guidelines

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the entry process for the JEE Main 2026 January 24 shift 1 exam, which is scheduled to be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon. The testing agency has issued important exam day instructions for the candidates.  

  • Candidates should report to the exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned on the JEE Main admit card.
  • Entry to the exam centre will not be permitted after the gate closing time.
  • Candidates should undergo biometric verification and identity checks before entering the exam hall.
  • If a candidate leaves the examination hall for a bio-break, biometric verification and frisking will be carried out again before re-entry.
  • Electronic devices such as mobile phones, calculators, smart watches, and Bluetooth-enabled items are not allowed inside the exam hall.
  • Candidates should not carry bags, books, papers, or personal belongings to the exam centre.
  • Rough work should be done only on the sheets provided at the centre.
  • Any unfair means or violation of exam rules may lead to disqualification.

JEE Main 2026 Jan 24 Exam: Travel advisory for Nanded exam centre

NTA has issued a travel advisory for candidates appearing in Nanded, Maharashtra. The “Hind Di Chadar” Samagam may affect traffic movement on January 24. Candidates in the city have been advised to plan their travel in advance and report to their exam centres well before the reporting time. Carrying the JEE Main 2026 admit card and a government-issued ID is mandatory.
