Try NowNEW DELHI: IIT Bombay has successfully conducted the Shift 1 of February 6 GATE 2021 exam. GATE 2021 February 6 Shift 1 exam was conducted for three Subject papers- Civil Engineering-1 (CE-1), Instrumentation Engineering (IN), and Chemistry (CY).
GATE 2021 February 6 Shift 1 exam was commenced at 9.30 am and concluded at 12.30 pm. Shift 2 exam will be held from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm.
As per students who appeared for the February 6 GATE 2021 exam, the overall difficulty level of the exam was easy.
GATE 2021 Exam Analysis- February 6 Shift 1
GATE CE-1 exam analysis- The paper was of easy difficulty level. As per the student's reactions, the GATE CE-1 paper contained fewer Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) (7-8 questions) and the number of NAT questions was more. Questions were asked from topics like SOM, Sheer strength, steel, Speed density relation. More focus is on Transportation questions. Other most asked questions were from Environmental Engineering, Geo technology.
GATE 2021 IN exam analysis- As per the students, the GATE IN paper was easy to moderate in difficulty level. Also, fewer Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) were asked in the subject too. Some of the topics asked in the exam were Rectifier, Control System, Diode, etc.
GATE 2021 CY exam analysis- GATE Chemistry 2021 is easy to moderate. Some of the topics asked were Quantum, Electrochemistry, Chemical Equibrilium, Inorganic Chemistry, etc.
The previous year's GATE CE cutoff was 32.9 for General candidates; 29.6 for OBC and 21.0 for SC/ST/PH candidates. GATE IN cutoff (qualifying) for the previous year was 34.6 for General candidates; 31.1 for OBC and 23.0 for SC/ST/PH candidates.
GATE 2021 February Shift 2 will be held for 5 subject papers- Civil Engineering-2, Physics, Architecture, and Planning, Biomedical Engineering, Mining Engineering. As per GATE 2021 exam dates, the next shifts for various subject papers will be held on February 7, 13, and 14, 2021.
