Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur is conducting the GATE 2022 exam on February 5, 6, 12 and 13. Applicants appearing for the exam can check the GATE 2022 exam day guidelines, timings, documents required for exam and other details here. IITKGP is conducting the GATE exam in online mode across the country. IITKGP GATE 2022 admit card has been released on January 15 at the official website.

Documents to carry at GATE 2022 exam centre
GATE admit card 2022
Applicants appearing for the exam must carry the
GATE admit card
at the exam centre. Candidates must follow the exam day guidelines as mentioned in the admit card of GATE 2022.
Valid photo ID proof
Along with the GATE admit card 2022, applicants also need to carry one valid photo ID proof at the exam centre. Candidates can carry any one of the photo ID proof from Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, etc.
GATE 2022 exam day guidelines

Applicants must reach the exam centre at least 90 minutes before the commencement of the GATE examination.

Do not carry any restricted item like electronic device or watch inside the GATE exam hall.

Candidates must follow all GATE exam day instructions as released by IITKGP.

Applicants should not bring any charts/tables/papers/books/sheets at the exam centre.

Candidates must bring their own pen, pencil, transparent water bottle and pocket size hand sanitizer.

Do not leave the examination hall without taking permission from the invigilator.

Applicants must wear a face mask throughout the examination.
GATE 2022 Travel Pass
IIT Kharagpur has released the GATE travel pass for the candidates appearing for the exam. The travel pass was issued for smooth movement of candidates on GATE exam day. Applicants appearing for the exam must carry a GATE exam travel pass along with the admit card to avoid any delay in the exam.
IIT KGP GATE 2022 is being conducted for 29 papers. This year, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur has added two new papers - Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering and Geomatics Engineering. Applicants appealing for the GATE 2022 exam must adhere to the exam day guidelines as mentioned in the GATE 2022 admit card.
