The IIT Kharagpur released the GATE 2022 AR paper new exam pattern at gate.iitkgp.ac.in. Students preparing for GATE 2022 AR paper are advised to get themselves familiar with exam patterns beforehand. GATE 2022 AR paper exam date is February 13. 

• The Paper contains General Aptitude (GA) section (15 Marks) as applicable for all papers of GATE 2022.

• The Paper consists of two parts covering the syllabus: Part A (60 marks) and Part B (25 marks).

• Part A is compulsory for all the candidates.

• Part B contains two optional sections: Part B1 (Architecture) and Part B2 (Planning).

Note: Candidates have to choose any one of the sections from Part B during the examination. No separate score and ranking will be provided based on selection of sections.

GATE 2022 is scheduled to be conducted for a total of 29 papers. IIT Kharagpur has already conducted GATE exam for 18 subjects namely, CS, BM, EE, MA, EC, ES, ST, NM, MT, MN, CY, CH, PI, XH, IN, AG, GG, and TF. The remaining GATE 2022 papers will be conducted on February 12 and 13..

The authorities will conduct the GATE 2022 exam for remaining papers such as Mechanical and Civil Engineering on February 12 and 13. Students who will appear on February 12 and 13 are advised to keep important documents to carry to IITKGP exam ready in order to avoid any last minute rush. 

As per IITKGP exam schedule, the GATE Physics exam date 2022 is February 12. The GATE 2022 Physics paper will be conducted in shift 1 (9 am to 12:30 pm). 

The IIT Kharagpur announced changes in eligibility criteria for GATE 2022 exam. According to the GATE eligibility criteria 2022, candidates who have BDS and MPharma degrees can also appear for the exam.

IITGK has started shift 2 of the day. Students having GATE 2022 admit card and a valid id proof were allowed to enter the IITKGP exam centre. GATE exam duration is 3 hours. The shift 2 of GATE 2022 will be over at 5:30 PM.

• Entry of any candidate who is COVID 19 positive, having any contagious or infectious disease, must not come out of hospital/ home will be denied entry inside the exam hall.

• Calculators, watches, mobile phone or any kind of electronic gadgets will be prohibited inside the GATE 2022 exam centre.

The authorities have allowed aspirants to attempt one or two GATE 2022 papers. However, a candidate is only allowed to select the second paper from the pre-defined two-paper combination list.

The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur has warned students regarding the GATE 2022 fake news in the form of SMS, video or emails. The authorities have advised aspirants to check GATE 2022 latest news and updates only on gate.iitkgp.ac.in. 

Recruitment in various PSUs is done on the basis of marks obtained by the aspirants in GATE exam. Public Sector Undertakings or PSUs are government-owned corporations which offer employment on the basis of GATE score. IIT Kharagpur has released the GATE travel pass for the candidates appearing for the exam. The GATE 2022 travel pass has been issued for smooth movement of candidates on GATE exam day.

IIT Kharagpur has started the GATE 2022 shift 1 exam as a computer based test. The shift 1 of today’s GATE paper will be over at 12 PM. Keep checking this page of GATE 2022 news and latest updates.

The IIT Kharagpur has not released any specific GATE 2022 dress code, however, students are advised not to wear any fancy jewellery or a dress with many topics. Moreover, aspirants should avoid caps, gloves, scarfs  etc.. 

The day 1 shift 1 of GATE exam 2022 will start in the next 15 minutes i.e at 9 am. The entrance exam will be conducted for CS and  BM for the duration of 3 hours. The GATE exam shift 1 will be over at 12 PM.

Candidates who have registered for IITKGP 2022 exam can use GATE 2022 login to download their GATE 2022 hall ticket. The login credentials required for GATE 2022 login are enrollment id and password.  

Candidates are not allowed to carry following items inside IITKGP GATE 2022 hall.

• Mobile Phones

• Scribble Pads

• Wallets

• Paper

Despite several requests from aspirants for IIT Kharagpur GATE 2022 postponement due to the ongoing COVID-19, the authorities have decided to conduct the GATE 2022 as per schedule. Check GATE 2022 aspirant's reaction on twitter.

No, the IIT Kharagur has not postponed GATE 2022. The IITKGP exam will be conducted as scheduled i.e from today. The IIT Kharagpur GATE 2022 shift 1 will start at 9 am. 

The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur will start the GATE 2022 exam from today, February 5. The GATE exam 2022 will be conducted as a computer based test in two shifts.
