The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023 saw 77 percent attendance this year which is 10% higher than last year, said Abhay Karandikar, director of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. 6.8 lakh candidates registered for the exam, he said.

The examination was held smoothly in all sessions, except for a delay of about 1 to 1.5 hours in the last session in few centres due to a technical glitch in server. However, the examination went smoothly after the issue was resolved by our partner TCS.
