NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) successfully conducted shift 1 and 2 of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2023). The GATE 2023 day 2 exam was held for Electrical Engineering (EE), Environmental Science and Engineering (ES), and Humanities and Social Science (XH) in shift 1.

In shift 2, the institute held exams for Biomedical engineering (BM), chemistry (CY), and Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC) papers.
As per various reports, the GATE 2023 day 2 exam was moderate in difficulty level, while the aptitude section was difficult for shift 1. Whereas students found GATE question paper of shift 2 of February 5 exam to be moderate to difficult.
Each GATE 2023 paper is for a total of 100 marks, General Aptitude (GA) is common for all papers which carries 15 marks and rest of the paper covers the respective syllabus for 85 marks.
Candidates’ response sheets will be made available on the IITK GATE official website, gate.iitk.ac.in 2023 on February 15. The GATE 2023 answer key will be released on February 21, 2023.
GATE 2023: Previous year cut-offs
The factors determining the cut-off for GATE exam 2023 are total number of candidates who appeared for the exam, paper difficulty level, category of student, number of seats available in IITs, NIITs, and IIITs, and previous year cut-off.
Aspirants can check the GATE ECE exam cut-off based on the previous year's exam.
