NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Science Bangalore will conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 from today, February 3. The GATE 2024 is scheduled to be conducted on February 3, 4, 10 and 11. The GATE 2024 exam will be held in two shifts on each day- shift 1 will be held from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and shift 2 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Candidates appearing for the exam must carry their GATE admit card 2024 along with a valid photo ID such as PAN card, Aadhar card, driving licence, voter ID card, passport for verification purpose. Candidates should report to the GATE 2024 exam centre at least 1 hour before to avoid any delay.

The duration of the GATE 2024 exam is 3 hours. The GATE 2024 exam will consist of a total of 65 questions carrying 100 marks, out of which 10 questions carrying a total of 15 marks will be from General Aptitude (GA). There is a negative marking for multiple-choice questions, however, questions with numerical answers do not have a negative marking.

GATE 2024: Exam day guidelines

Candidates should follow the given instruction for the GATE 2024 exam.

  • Candidates should carry their GATE admit card 2024 and valid photo id on the day of the exam.
  • Candidates should report to the exam centre 90 minutes before the exam begins.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to login 30 minutes after the start of the exam.
  • Candidates must bring their own pen. Exchange of stationary materials is not allowed.
  • Candidates are allowed to log in and read the instructions 20 minutes before exam commencement.
  • Candidates should carry their own clear water bottle, mask, and pocket-sized hand sanitizer.
  • Use of any unfair methods during the CTET exam will lead to disqualification.
  • Candidates should not bring any electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, smart watched, Bluetooth earphones or calculators.
