NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) will conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2025) exam from tomorrow, February 1. As per the previous years' qualifying marks, GATE cut-offs for Chemical Engineering dropped last year for all categories and civil engineering cut-offs increased by 2 points.

The GATE 2025 exam will be conducted in two shifts; morning session will be held from 9:30 am to 12:30 noon and afternoon session will be from 2:30 to 5:30 pm.

On day 1 of GATE 2025, candidates will appear for computer science and information technology (CS1 and CS2), agricultural engineering (AG), mathematics (MA), naval architecture and marine engineering (NM), metallurgical engineering (MT), textile engineering and fibre science, and instrumentation engineering (IN).

Candidates can check the GATE cut-off category wise to increase their chances of admissions in the IITs, NITs, IIITs. Candidates who will clear the GATE 2025 qualifying cutoff can participate in the COAP and CCMT counselling for MTech admissions. GATE 2025 cut-off depends on various factors, such as the total number of available seats, the marks obtained by the candidates and the number of candidates who appeared in the exam.

The GATE 2025 admit card is available on the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in. Candidates will have to use their login credentials such as registration number and date of birth to download the GATE 2025 admit card.

Two-paper combinations have been introduced for candidates who have already registered for GATE 2025. As per the guidelines, candidates who had taken only one paper previously, were allowed to add a second paper from the new combinations. While, candidates who had already taken two papers were allowed to change their second paper.
