Try NowNEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has revised the registration date for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 to August 28. Interested candidates will be able register for GATE 2025 exam through the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The GATE 2025 registration window without late fee will close on September 26, 2024.
The GATE 2025 final registration process with late fee will end on October 7. Earlier the GATE 2025 registration window was scheduled to open on August 24.
As per the schedule GATE 2025 exam will be conducted on February 1, 2, 15, and 16 in two sessions at various exam centres across the country. The first shift of the GATE 2025 exam will be held from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and the second session from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
The GATE exam is conducted for admission to Masters in Technology (MTech) and direct PhD admissions to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other institutes/universities across India. Many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and State Electricity Boards (SEB) also accept GATE to recruit trainee engineers and scientists in group C-level posts.
GATE 2025 application fee
Candidates are required to pay the GATE 2024 application fee to successfully register for GATE 2025 exam. The fee is Rs 900 for those belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories, as well as for female candidates. For all other candidates, the registration fee is Rs 1,800. The GATE 2025 application fee must be paid online via credit, debit card or net banking.

The GATE 2025 result will be announced on March 19. Candidates will have to use their login details including registration number and date of birth to download the GATE 2025 result.
