NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will announce the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2025) for admissions to postgraduate engineering courses on March 19. Candidates will be able to check the scorecard through the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

The institute released the GATE 2025 answer key and response sheet for a total of 30 papers on February 27. Candidates, who appeared for the exam on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, will be allowed to access the answer key and their response sheet through the GATE login portal.

Over 9 lakh candidates appeared for the GATE 2025 held in computer-based test (CBT) mode. The exam is the gateway to get admissions to top Indian Institute of Technologies (IITs), and Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc) and for recruitment to Public Sector Undertaking (PSUs).

The GATE 2025 result will be calculated on the basis of the final answer key. The objection facility to challenge the answer key will be available till March 1. Candidates will have to use their login credentials such as registration number and date of birth to download the official GATE answer key PDF.

Scopes and benefits of GATE 2025 score

The GATE 2025 score holds the key to get admissions into IITs, IISC, IIITs, NITs, and avail scholarships, fellowships, teaching jobs, and foreign study. The graduate exams is also the gateway to recruitment in some of the top PSUs such as NFL, THDC, BEML, SECI, and DDA among others.

Candidates obtaining a good score in the GATE 2025 will be eligible to take admissions into specialisations such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, and data science in engineering in the top colleges. Notably, qualifying the GATE exam will also offer candidates with private sector jobs in top multinational companies.

GATE 2025 passing marks, cut-offs

As per the previous years’ trends, the qualifying marks to clear the GATE 2025 exam for general category students is expected to range between 25 and 30 out of 100. IIT Roorkee will announce the cut-off marks after the results are announced on March 19.
