The exam will be conducted for a duration of three hours and in two sessions – 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. As per GATE 2025 exam pattern, each paper will comprise a section on general aptitude and another on the subject selected by the candidate. An aspirant can appear for a maximum of two-paper combinations in GATE this year.
As per the GATE 2025 marking scheme released by IIT Roorkee, each question in the GATE 2025 question paper will carry either one or two marks.
There will be negative marking in GATE exam 2025. Know how marks will be deducted below.
