GATE 2025 results on March 19; IIT Roorkee announces eligibility, test papers, application fee

Check NowNEW DELHI : The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will commence the registration for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 from August 24. The institute has released the GATE 2025 poster on the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in, mentioning the exam date, registration dates, application fee, test papers, and result date.

According to the poster, GATE 2025 results will be declared on March 19, 2025. The exam will be conducted by the IIT on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025 for admission to master’s programmes offered by IITs and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore.
“GATE 2025 examination will be conducted at specific centres in selected cities and towns in India as listed on GATE 2025 website. GATE 2025 score will remain valid for three years from the date of announcement of results,” the poster read.
As per the eligibility criteria, a student who is currently studying in the third or final year of any undergraduate degree programme or has completed any government approved degree programme in engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, arts, or humanities is eligible to apply.
GATE 2025 registration last date is September 26 without late fee and October 7 with a late fee. Applicants belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories and females will have to pay an application fee of Rs 900. All other candidates will be required to make payment of Rs 1,800.
The exam will be held for a total of 30 test papers. Candidates will have the option to choose two papers from the approved list of combinations. “Additional two-paper combinations may be introduced at a later date, contingent upon the availability of infrastructure and scheduling feasibility,” the poster added.
According to the GATE 2025 exam pattern, the duration of a paper will be three hours. The exam will be held in a computer-based test or online mode.
