NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has issued the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 scorecard. Candidates who declared qualified in the GATE 2025 exam will be able to download their GATE scorecard 2025 through the official website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. Candidates can download the GATE 2025 scorecard till May 31, 2025. GATE 2025 score will be used for admission to MTech and other postgraduate programmes in various engineering institutes.
The GATE 2025 scorecard validity depends on the specific PSU (Public Sector Undertaking). Most PSUs accept only the current year's GATE score, while other may consider scores from the previous year. Various PSU's such as GAIL (India) Limited, GRID-INDIA, and the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) will recruit candidates based on specific GATE 2025 scores .
GATE 2025 Result: Admission chances
The GATE 2025 score holds the key to get admissions into IITs, IISC, IIITs, NITs, and avail scholarships, fellowships, teaching jobs, and foreign study. Here’s how GATE plays a role in admission:
- IITs and IISc : These institutes offer some of admission to MTech and PhD programs in India. Admission to these programs is based on GATE scores.

- Financial Assistance : Candidates admitted to MTech and ME programs through GATE often receive financial assistance in the form of GATE Scholarships. The Ministry of Education, Government of India, provides a stipend to students pursuing full-time postgraduate studies, making it a financially viable option.
